Tom Grant

Tom is a Consultant in our Corporate and Commercial team with over 20 years of legal experience.

His key area of expertise is advising the gambling sector on a range of commercial matters including sponsorship agreements, game development, sports data rights, content licensing, platform agreements and customer terms and conditions.

Tom also advises on gambling regulatory matters, notably in relation to advertising and marketing rules to ensure that gambling operators and their commercial partners act in a socially responsible manner.

Tom acts for a broad range of clients include game developers, platform providers, content aggregators, gambling operators and sports rights holders.

Laxmi Mall

Laxmi is a Lawyer in the Dispute Resolution team.

Prior to joining Blaser Mills Law in November 2024, Laxmi completed her training contract with a local law firm.

Laxmi has experience dealing with various disputes including contentious probate, landlord and tenant matters and property disputes. She has assisted with resolving legal matters both through negotiation and litigation. She puts client care at the forefront and adopts a calm, strategic approach to ensure clients feel supported and confident throughout the entire process.

The team is a close knit team based in Marlow.

Key Experience

This opportunity is ideally suited for a solicitor of 12+ years PQE, who has solid Employment experience, management or supervision experience and has an interest in business development.

Elizabeth Fillingham

Elizabeth is an Associate in our Wills, Trusts and Probate team in our High Wycombe office.

Shannon Zermani

Shannon is a Lawyer in the Wills, Trusts and Probate team based in our Amersham office.

Shannon specialises in a variety of areas including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate, Tax and Court of Protection applications. Shannon is professional yet approachable and can explain in simple terms what can be a complex and technical procedure.  

Sarah Corsby

Sarah is a Senior Conveyancer in the Residential Property team.

Sarah has over 20 years experience handling a mixed caseload of both leasehold and freehold property transactions including unregistered title. Sarah has acted for many long term clients as well as first time buyers.

Sarah enjoys title reconstitution and possessory title applications.

Kate McLauchlan

Kate joined Blaser Mills in February 2022 as a Paralegal in the Retirement Homes Team. After completing her studies, Kate started her training contract in May 2023, gaining experience in both Litigation and Wills, Trusts and Probate.

Following a return to the Wills, Trusts and Probate team in June 2024, Kate qualified as a solicitor in November 2024 and joined the Wills, Trusts and Probate Team as a Lawyer based in the Marlow office.

Joshua Easterbrook

Josh is a Lawyer in the corporate and commercial team, with a specialism in sports law.

Josh graduated in 2020 with a 1st Class BA (Hons) in Sports Law and Business and continued to further expand his knowledge in Sports Law through completing a Master of Laws (LLM) in Sports Law and Practice at De Montfort University.

While completing his further education, he spent 3 years at Wycombe Wanderers Football Club within the commercial department, starting off as Commercial and Legal Executive in which he oversaw the process of the selling of the club’s commercial inventory through to the drafting of the commercial agreement which accompanied the sale, liaising with governing bodies ensuring the club adhered to all relevant commercial regulations.

He supported the General Counsel and the Owners in various commercial disputes throughout his time at the club, and towards the latter end, became head of the commercial department before leaving the club to pursue a more legal orientated role.

At the start of the 2021 football season, he joined FA Sports, a sports agency based in Knightsbridge, working as a paralegal. His role was to support the in-house General Counsel with all matters within the department, including; preparing representation agreements for potential new clients; reviewing and analysing agreements between clients, the agency and clubs; and advising on commercial matters involving the agency and its clients.

Debbie Liffchak

Debbie is a Legal Executive in our Commercial Recoveries team.

She manages a commercial litigation caseload and has a wide range of experience acting for a range of small, medium and large blue-chip clients.

Debbie has completed the CILEX course and is a Chartered Legal Executive .

Helen Rodwell

Helen is an Associate in our Residential Property team with over 20 years of experience in law firms across the Thames Valley.

Since achieving qualification in 2009, she has specialised in residential property transactions, both freehold and leasehold acquisitions, transfers of equity, remortgages, and the complexities of unregistered property dealings, including sales, purchases, and first registrations.

Helen delivers a high-quality service, offering pragmatic and proactive support to her clients. She prioritises clear communication and keeps clients regularly updated throughout the process, aiming to minimize the stress often associated with property transactions.

Sam Brodie

Sam is an Associate in our Personal Injury and Medical Negligence team.

Sam qualified in 2020 and throughout his career to date has practised exclusively in the Personal Injury Litigation space. Sam has represented both claimants and defendants in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Litigation and has experience dealing with claims from both a claimant and defendant perspective. He has worked in both the UK and Australian jurisdictions.

In recent years, Sam has specialised in clinical negligence litigation, representing claimant’s and their families in a wide range of Clinical Negligence claims against General Practitioners, the NHS and Private Hospitals, care homes, dentists, surgeons, nurses and ambulance service providers.

He handles a diverse range of cases, each presenting unique circumstances and encompassing a variety of injuries. These include instances such as hypoxic brain events in infants, strokes, gynaecological injuries, orthopaedic injuries, sepsis, vascular conditions, eye conditions, and cancer diagnoses.

Sam prides himself on his attention to detail and the rapport he is able to form with his clients.

Kathy James

Kathy is a Senior Associate in our Wills, Trusts and Probate team.

Kathy has 25 years’ experience of dealing with Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, trusts, probate and the administration of estates. She is happy to see clients at home, in hospital or in a residential home.

She is also a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), which is a worldwide professional organisation for practitioners dealing with Wills, inheritance and succession planning.

Maryam Abbasi

Maryam is a Lawyer in our Family and Divorce team.

Her experience spans across all aspects of family law, including divorce, financial remedy claims, private children matters and cases of domestic abuse. In particular, Maryam specialises in injunctive proceedings including making applications or defending against applications for non-molestation or occupation orders. She also specialises in financial disputes, having dealt with matters of varying complexities and values including cases with an international element.

She advises on and prepares cohabitation agreements, pre and post nuptial agreements and increasingly deals with change of name applications.

Maryam is a member of Resolution and takes a pro-active and sympathetic approach, recognising the importance of resolving issues in a constructive manner.

Graeme Kirk

Graeme is a Business Immigration Law Consultant at Blaser Mills Law, supporting foreign businesses establishing operations in the UK who wish to transfer staff to the UK.

Grame is one of UK’s leading immigration lawyers, specialising in business immigration law since 1981. He was Chair of the Immigration and Nationality Committee of the International Bar Association from 2000-2004 and chaired or co-chaired the IBA Global Immigration Conference from 2003-2019.

Graeme’s expertise covers most areas of UK immigration law, including assisting companies in obtaining Sponsor Licence to employ foreign nationals, Global Mobility Visas, Skilled Worker Visas, all employment and business immigration visa applications and related family applications, spouse/partner visas – supporting foreign businesses’ expansion into the UK.

Veronique Gutteridge

Veronique is a lawyer in the Wills, Trust and Probate team.

She advises on a range of private client matters. This includes drafting and advising on Wills, preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorneys, as well as the administration of estates. Veronique also has experience in making Deputyship applications.

Veronique is friendly and personable and puts her clients at ease when dealing with difficult matters.

Sarah Harley

Sarah is a Lawyer in the Real Estate team.

Sarah is experienced in dealing with a broad range of commercial property matters. Her practice areas include plot sale sites, commercial site sales and acquisitions, development financing, landlord and tenant matters, option agreements and some residential matters.

Prior to joining Blaser Mills Law in January 2024, Sarah completed her training contract and practiced as a Lawyer in local firm offering services in commercial property transactions.

Jacqueline Craig

Jackie is a Senior Associate in the Real Estate and Development Team.

Jackie’s practice is diverse, and in particular she specialises in secured lending and finance, and all forms of commercial and residential property work.

Other commercial work includes undertaking high value residential and commercial transactions (sales, purchases, leases, option agreements, development), along with company asset and share sales and purchases.  Jackie has extensive experience in acting for a number of banks and other lending institutions in their secured lending transactions. Over the last few years Jackie has worked with some well-known commercial banks and individual lenders as being one of their main solicitors.

Jackie has also represented a wide variety of clients in the commercial and residential property sector from small and large property investors, major PLC’s to high-net-worth individuals.

Nadeem Ahmed

Nadeem qualified as a solicitor in 2015 and is a Senior Associate in the Real Estate Team.

Nadeem advises on a broad range of commercial property matters with an emphasis on acquisitions, disposals, landlord and tenant matters.  He acts for individuals and businesses across a variety of sectors with a focus on providing commercial and pragmatic advice.

Saira Hussain

Saira is a Lawyer in the Real Estate team.

Saira is experienced in dealing with a broad range of commercial property matters. Her practice areas include purchases and sales of commercial premises, business leases and dilapidations, landlord and tenant agreements. Her experience also extends to acquisition and disposal of businesses with property elements.

Prior to joining Blaser Mills Law in early May 2023, Saira completed her training contract and practiced as a Lawyer in a small firm in London offering services in residential conveyancing and commercial property transactions. 

Saira has a strong business acumen, having worked in a small firm in London developing strong personal connections in the local business community. Her first-hand experience in various practice areas lead to a host of rewarding experiences and skill set.

Matthew Whipp

Matthew is a Senior Associate in our Dispute Resolution Team. Matthew is an experienced litigator with particular expertise in contentious probate, property litigation and TOLATA claims.

Matthew takes a pragmatic approach to disputes and is commercially minded. Matthew’s unique insight comes from his varied experience of working for individual and business clients. Matthew has acted for a wide variety of clients, from large PLC’s such as airlines, to SME’s and high net worth individuals.

Matthew prides himself on being able to settle matters with a common-sense approach and providing advice in plain language, without unnecessary legal jargon.

Kate Jones

Kate Jones is a Senior Associate in our Family and Divorce team. She specialises in sensitive and complicated matters relating to divorce, financial separation, civil partnership dissolution, disputes between unmarried couples, disagreements regarding the arrangements for children and injunctions.

Kate advises on and prepares cohabitation agreements, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements in order to help couples minimise disputes should their relationships subsequently end.

Kate is a Resolution accredited specialist in the areas of complex financial remedies and private children law. The accreditation recognises solicitors who have demonstrated excellence in family law. Her expertise has been assessed and verified by Resolution, an organisation of family lawyers and professionals committed to a constructive approach to family disputes.

Tahsin Chasmawala

Tahsin is an Associate in the Wills, Trusts and Probate team.

Tahsin advises on a range of private client matters. This includes drafting and advising on Wills for couples or single people, preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney, as well as the administration of a wide variety of Estates. Tahsin has a friendly, professional and personal approach when working with clients to ensure that their needs and expectations are met.  

Tahsin is also an associate member of SFE (Solicitors for the Elderly).

Juliana Pooler

Juliana is a Senior Associate in the Litigation team and has expertise in Property Litigation.

She acts for both corporate and private clients (in their capacity as landlords or tenants) in relation to possession proceedings, business tenancy renewals, service charge disputes, right to manage and collective enfranchisements claims, lease extensions, consultation requirements under the Landlord and Tenant 1985 and associated applications for dispensation and break notices.

She also advises private clients in relation to breach of contract claims including double commission disputes and claims against managing agents and professional advisors.

Juliana completed her Training Contract and Qualified at a city law firm and has experience in advising institutional investors, asset managers, banks, property funds and developers in relation to rights of light, dilapidations, tenant default and insolvency matters.

Jack Williams

Jack is a Solicitor in the Wills, Trusts and Probate team.

He specialises in a variety of areas including Wills, Tax, Trusts, Estate planning, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney and the Court of Protection. Jack takes a personable approach to working with his clients and will tailor to their needs whether they have a complex or simple legal matter.

Jack has experience and an interest in dealing with Estates containing multijurisdictional assets and tax planning.

Jasmine Allen

Jasmine is a Consultant Solicitor specialising in powers of attorney, wills, and deputyship.

The first 11 years of Jasmine’s career were focused on various areas of private client law, including powers of attorney, deputyship, wills, inheritance tax planning, trusts, and probate. Drawing upon her years of experience, Jasmine started her own successful law firm specialising in wills, powers of attorney, and deputyship.  This led to an exciting amalgamation with Blaser Mills LLP in 2022 whereby Jasmine now provides these services as “The LPA Solicitor” within the Blaser Mills LLP Wills, Trusts and Probate team (www.thelpasolicitor.co.uk).

Hannah Field

Hannah is a Solicitor in the Child Care and Legal Aid Children department, having completed her training contract and qualifying with Blaser Mills in 2023.

Hannah holds a caseload of Legal Aid Public Family law cases, representing parents and other family members in care proceedings and Public Law Outline meetings. She deals with associated work such as discharge of Care Orders, Special Guardianship and Adoption. She also undertakes her own advocacy in the Family Court.

Hannah provides legal advice that is easy to understand and compassionate. She has experience working with clients with complex and additional learning and other needs.

Vishal Patel

Vishal is a Lawyer in our Employment team. He has extensive experience in providing legal services and specifically in litigation.

Vishal predominantly acts for companies, ranging from small companies to large global corporations advising them on litigious matters including:

  • Unfair dismissal claims;
  • Discrimination claims (including sex, disability, pregnancy and maternity);
  • Whistleblowing claims;
  • Employment tribunal applications (including strike out applications); and
  • High court litigation relevant to breach of confidentiality and breach of restrictions.

He also undertakes non-contentious and advisory work including:

  • Drafting contracts (including directors’ service agreements);
  • Drafting staff handbook policies;
  • Investigations;
  • Disciplinary and grievance matters; and

Vishal acts on behalf of individuals advising on a range of employment law issues.

Nick Scott

Nick is a Consultant in the Dispute Resolution team.

Nick is a highly experienced litigator recommended in the UK Legal 500 as “outstanding” and who has “tremendous knowledge and experience…always available and responds to challenges in a calm, decisive and unphased manner.”

Nick specialises in complex high value commercial disputes typically with a significant international element.

Nick represents clients in both High Court litigation and arbitration (LCIA, ICC, AAA, LME, WIPO) and also has extensive experience of alternative dispute resolution including mediation, early neutral evaluation and adjudication.

Nick was a key member of the Defence team awarded “Dispute Resolution Team of the Year” at the 2014 Legal Business Awards and “Litigation Team of the Year” at the 2014 Lawyer Awards.

Nick is fluent in German and French.

Sharron Bhandal

Sharron is a Senior Associate Solicitor in the Employment department, with experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law.

Sharron predominantly acts for medium to large companies, including global corporations, advising them on a range of employment law issues including:

  • Responding to employment tribunal claims and defending respondent clients on claims such as:
    • Unfair dismissal claims;
    • Wrongful dismissal claims;
    • Discrimination claims (including sex, race, disability, pregnancy and maternity);
    • Whistleblowing claims; and
    • Relevant tribunal applications (including strike out).
  • Attending to and investigating disciplinary matters;
  • Investigating and responding to grievances raised by employees;
  • Advising on redundancy procedures;
  • Advising on global mobility issues (including drafting contracts); and
  • Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements/exit packages.


In addition to acting for companies, Sharron also regularly acts on behalf of individuals including senior employees, on a range of employment law issues that affect employees such as; raising grievances, responding to disciplinary matters, advising on contractual terms, redundancy issues, advising on settlement agreements and exit packages and issuing claims in relation to unfair dismissal, various discrimination claims, and whistleblowing claims.

Sophia Ali

Sophia is a solicitor in the Retirement Homes Team, working with Shabina Hussain and Kirsty Malcolmson.

Sophia joined the firm as a paralegal and then completed her training contract at Blaser Mills. Sophia has been with the firm for over 4 years and has experience in dealing with retirement properties as well as non-retirement properties. Sophia handles all aspects of freehold and leasehold sale and purchases, as well as re-sales of retirement properties and sales of unregistered land.

Hannah Funnell

Hannah is an Associate in the Employment team having completed her training contract with Blaser Mills Law.

She has experience of working for companies on non-contentious matters, including drafting employment documents such as contracts, staff handbooks and privacy notices and using eDiscovery software to facilitate employer responses to data subject access requests. She has also assisted the team in defending claims against employers in the Employment Tribunal, including claims for unfair dismissal, discrimination, and whistleblowing.

Hannah also advises individuals on both contentious and non-contentious issues including settlement agreements, contract terms and attending disciplinary hearings.

Sara Rendell

Sara is a Senior Associate in the Wills, Trusts and Probate team.

Sara has over 20 years experience of dealing with Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, probate and the administration of high value estates, including those with foreign assets. In addition, Sara can advise on the inheritance tax and capital gains tax implications of an estate and assist the client in making estates most tax efficient.

Clients appreciate Sara’s efficient and approachable manner and frequently refer her services to friends and family. She is happy to see clients at home, in hospital or in a residential home.

Sara is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), which is a worldwide professional organisation for practitioners dealing with Wills, inheritance and succession planning.

Becky Cooper

Becky is a Senior Associate in the Corporate, Commercial contracts and Intellectual Property team.

Becky advises clients on a broad range of commercial law matters, with particular expertise advising clients in respect of Intellectual Property issues advising solely on non-contentious matters. She advises clients from a range of industries on how to contractually protect, exploit and licence their intellectual property, including software.

She has extensive experience drafting consumer-facing and business-to-business commercial contracts, business terms, distribution and reseller agreements, sub-contracts and SaaS agreements.

Becky also has experience in advising on Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulatory matters and has previously worked as a regulator at the London Stock Exchange.

Zara Liedl Carroll

Zara is a Senior Associate in the Residential Property Department.

She has over twelve years of experience acting in Property Law transactions, for both commercial clients and individuals. Zara deals with a broad range of property transactions including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, statutory and voluntary lease extensions, buy to let purchases, bridging finance, new build purchases, probate sales, retirement property, Assents and first registrations. Zara also acts for a number of management companies in administering their leases. Zara is also actively involved in legal Pro Bono/voluntary work in her spare time

She takes pride in her organisational skills, approachability, client care and attention to detail. Zara is always eager to guide clients through their unique property journey and prides herself in supporting clients at every step of the way.

Iona Caseby

Iona is an Associate in the Corporate and Commercial team.

She primarily advises clients on commercial contract matters, and has experience of drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements across several industries.

Iona has experience drafting a wide range of bespoke commercial agreements, including in relation to terms and conditions, sponsorship, distribution and dealers, representation and mentorship, introducers, confidentiality, charity, sale, services and hire agreements.

She completed her training contact at Blaser Mills Law, undertaking seats in Wills, Trust and Probate, Family and Divorce, and Corporate and Commercial.

Debbie Sadler

Debbie is a Consultant in the Employment team.

Debbie has over 18 years’ of experience advising clients on HR and employment issues, both contentious and non-contentious and regularly advises clients on disciplinary and grievance procedures, outsourcing, company sales and acquisitions, settlement agreements and restructuring, including redundancy advice, TUPE and consultation. This includes drafting employment contracts and policies, including restrictive covenants, consultancy agreements and employment policies.

Her practice also covers employment tribunal and litigation claims, including unfair dismissal, disability discrimination, breach of contract, race discrimination and whistleblowing. As a former teacher, she can provide bespoke training and education to clients.

She works closely with a number of employers, including companies, schools, charities, partnerships, educational establishments and individuals.

She also specialises in Shared Ownership properties, Land and Plot sales.

Kirsty Hughes

Kirsty is a Litigation Executive in the Dispute Resolution team.

She has 20 years’ experience dealing with commercial debt recovery, litigation, bankruptcy and insolvency matters. She has particular expertise with Court process and enforcement of Judgments.

She is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.

She was a member of the team short-listed for Litigation Team of the Year 2014-2019. 

Ben Langley

Ben is a specialist road traffic, regulatory and crime consultant.  He has many years of experience specialising in general crime and motoring law. Prior to being a consultant Ben was a solicitor at Blaser Mills Law for five years where he was given the responsibility of running the road traffic department.

Ben is able to provide clients with 24-hour police station advice and assistance in relation to all criminal offences. He also represents and defends individuals who appear before the Magistrates and Youth Courts charged with the full spectrum of criminal offences.

Ben is a specialist road traffic solicitor and he has represented numerous individuals and companies nationwide before the Magistrates Court and Crown Court in relation to a whole range of road traffic offences. His years of experience and expertise in this area has resulted in defendants avoiding periods of disqualification from driving, criminal convictions and imprisonment.

He is known for his meticulous preparation which leads to an enviable record of successfully defending charges and achieving his client’s goals. He is very friendly and approachable and takes pride in resolving his client’s problems.

He has successfully defended charges such as speeding, driving without due care and attention (careless driving), driving with excess alcohol/drugs and failing to furnish information as to the identity of the driver or failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

Drunk in charge of a motor vehicle, driving whilst disqualified, driving not in accordance with a licence or without insurance, using a mobile phone whilst driving and dangerous driving are also a handful of other offences which Ben has significant experience and knowledge in defending.

Ben has represented many individuals at ‘Totting-up’ disqualification hearings and can boast an extremely high success rate ensuring that drivers retain their driving licences even though the number of penalty points on their licence is 12 or more.

Ben also appears regularly before the Motorsport Disciplinary tribunal as he specialises in representing drivers of motorsport teams who face numerous allegations that can vary from administrative errors all the way up to the standard of driving on the track being questioned. Heenal is a Senior Associate in the Wills, Trusts and Probate team based in the Amersham office.

She deals with technical challenges that often arise with probate matters and trusts, and takes pride in her ability to resolve issues in an efficient and professional manner.  She drafts Wills, Grant of Probate applications, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Deeds of Variation.  She offers Inheritance Tax planning advice and advises on trust options available to suit clients’ needs.

Naim Qureshi

Naim is a Senior Associate in the Family and Divorce team.

Naim has practiced exclusively in the field of family and matrimonial law for over 20 years. He deals with all aspects of family and divorce law, and in particular the resolution of financial claims following marital/relationship breakdown and disputes over children.  He is also increasingly instructed to draft Pre- and Post-Nuptial Agreements.

Naim is a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Accreditation Scheme and a member of Resolution. He is also a qualified collaborative family lawyer.
