Our aim is to make a positive difference in the communities that we serve. We partly do this by creating an inclusive work environment which values the health of it’s people and creates opportunities for development. However, we want to go further, reaching other parts of our communities and offering our skills where they can be of help.
Our dedicated communities group secured volunteering leave for every colleague and regularly arrange volunteering opportunities within the community. Some of the projects we take part in include collecting food at supermarkets for local food banks, serving lunch to vulnerable older residents and listing eBay sale items for a hospice. This, in addition to pro bono legal assistance, outreach work at local schools and charity fundraising.
“Central to the ethos of the community group is integrity – we have no hidden agenda, we simply wish to build relationships with local groups and assist where we can. It was a real pleasure volunteering at a lunch for older community residents – I think we enjoyed it as much as they did!”
